About Janna Lipka, LMFT

Hello! I am Janna, the founder of Beyond the Walls Counseling. I currently hold a license to practice psychotherapy in Colorado and California. I have received many specialized trainings in the following areas: effective treatments for anxiety and depression, trauma recovery, effective treatments for self harm and substance use, and working specifically with teens and their families. My formal education includes a bachelors degree in Psychology and a masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy.

I also am married and a mother of two, and believe that life experience is one of the best forms of education. I enjoy hiking the Colorado mountains, adventuring with my kids, playing in the ocean (or any water for that matter!), reading lots of books, and being creative. I grew up on the beaches of California and moved to the beautiful Colorado mountains as an adult. This is why I am licensed in both states!

The foundation of formal education and training coupled with real life experience makes me a uniquely qualified therapist to help you through your journey of healing and growth.
